Educator. Group Facilitator. Advocate.

šŸ”¹ Policy + Public Engagement

In 2024, I spoke at the NYS Interagency Gender-Based Violence Policy Listening Session in NYC, where I delivered survivor-centered and professionally-informed trauma insights to the following agencies:

  • NYS Office for the Prevention of Domestic Violence (OPDV)
  • NYS Office for Victim Services (OVS)
  • NYS Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS)
  • NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS)

šŸ”¹ Teaching Philosophy

I believe learning should be lifelong, relevant, and energizing. I design environments that are safe and intellectually alive.

Whether I’m teaching about the neurobiology of trauma, compassion fatigue, poly-victimization, or even somatic pain, I ensure each student is equipped with the tools to succeed–and this includes prioritizing their safety.

My approach is student-centered, trauma-informed, and rooted in real-world application. We discuss, what does this look like in real life?

I bring flexibility (within reason), relevance, and emotional clarity to every session. We laugh, we explore, and we stay on task. My students consistently report 90–100% satisfaction on evaluations, and many say they’ve learned more with me than in years of traditional instruction. I don’t just deliver curriculum—I create healing-centered spaces where students can show up fully and actually grasp the material they engage.
