- NYS Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS)
- NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS)
š¹ Teaching Philosophy
I believe learning should be lifelong, relevant, and energizing. I design environments that are safe and intellectually alive.
Whether Iām teaching about the neurobiology of trauma, compassion fatigue, poly-victimization, or even somatic pain, I ensure each student is equipped with the tools to succeedāand this includes prioritizing their safety.
My approach is student-centered, trauma-informed, and rooted in real-world application. We discuss, what does this look like in real life?
I bring flexibility (within reason), relevance, and emotional clarity to every session. We laugh, we explore, and we stay on task. My students consistently report 90ā100% satisfaction on evaluations, and many say theyāve learned more with me than in years of traditional instruction. I donāt just deliver curriculumāI create healing-centered spaces where students can show up fully and actually grasp the material they engage.
